Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

Launched in March 2017 by the federal government, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) was designed to address the population challenges faced by the Atlantic Provinces. This employer-driven program aims to welcome an additional 2,000 newcomers to the Atlantic Provinces each year for the next three years, in addition to the provinces’ annual immigration quotas.

For Nova Scotia, this means the opportunity to welcome 800 additional newcomers, supplementing its usual annual intake of 1,350 immigrants.
